I feel so lucky to have been asked to make a dessert table for Finn's 2nd birthday/ adoption party. His family is blessed to have him in their lives "officially" and I know they were excited to celebrate. Quite a journey with a wonderful ending.
His mom decided to throw a camping party and I have to admit I am jealous I didn't snag this theme for my son's party later this month! Everything turned out so cute and I had so many ideas to work with.
For instance, campfire cupcakes! Her colors were orange, brown, and turquoise so I thought the yellow and turquoise cupcake wrappers would go nicely.
I am so happy with how the cake turned out. I made the little tent late one night and really wanted to keep it! I want a big kid version for myself.
Another shot of the table. Chocolate and vanilla campfire cupcakes, peanut butter cookies, s'mores pops, and a chocolate cake. That's a nice looking party table!
She provided the wood slices to put the cupcakes on and the little woodland critters to decorate the table with. They accented the desserts well.
S'mores cookies and peanut butter brownies went perfectly with a camping theme. I love all the choices she made and the way it all came together.
These s'mores pops were so good. When I was making them my 2 year old kept saying, "marshmallows. more. marshmallows. more." He was just saying what we were all thinking! No shame, little man, no shame.
Happy Birthday and Congratulations on your adoption Mister Finn.
